Re-elected Caloocan City Mayor Oscar Malapitan offered a Thanksgiving Mass early Wednesday following the overwhelming support shown by the people of Caloocan City in the recently concluded elections.
The mass was held at the Shrine of the Our Lady of Grace in 11th Avenue and was attended by community leaders, representatives of various sectors in Caloocan, and supporters of Mayor Malapitan.
“We offered the mass to thank the Lord for blessing us with another term in office and above all, for giving us a peaceful elections, not only in Caloocan but in the whole country,” Malapitan said.
According to the Mayor, he wanted to celebrate the mass offered to the Divine Creator with the people, who tirelessly helped him to be re-elected as the father of Caloocan.
“These people have supported me through all my endeavors and I am also thankful to the Lord for surrounding me with loyal and hardworking supporters,” he added.
Mayor Malapitan also reiterated that he will work even harder for the people of Caloocan who trusted him to be their leader for another 3 years, and will continue to ask for the guidance of the Lord in leading the city of Caloocan and its people.
Malapitan was re-elected as mayor after posting a landslide win against his closest rival who only managed to get 25-30% of the total votes.
