Besting more than 112 other cities in the country, Caloocan retained its #9 position for two consecutive years, amongst the most competitive cities in the Philippines.
The National Competitive Council of the Philippines (NCC-P) has released its 2016 Local Government Units (LGUs) rankings based on 3 categories - economic dynamism, infrastructure and government efficiency.
Caloocan bested other heavyweight cities with vibrant central business districts (CBDs) such as Taguig, Pasay and Muntinlupa.
Caloocan City Mayor Oscar Malapitan expressed optimism that the fruits of his administration's incessant promotions to attract businesses thus creating more jobs, are now being harvested.
NCC-P also revealed that Caloocan has garnered overall #1 positions in two sub-categories which will be announced soon.
