This is the pledge of Caloocan Mayor Oscar Malapitan to his constituents in his inauguration as he reassumes his post as the head of the city.
Together with 1st District Congressman Dale Gonzalo Malapitan and Vice Mayor Maca Asistio, Mayor Malapitan led the oath taking of: 1st District Councilors: Marilou Nubla, Aurora Henson, Carmelo Africa, Dean Asistio, PJ Malonzo, Karina Teh; 2ndDistrict Councilors: Roberto Samson, Milagros Mercado, Tolentino Bagus, Carol Cunanan, LA Asistio, and Ed Aruelo.
All is set for Caloocan City’s commemoration of the 118th Independence Day on Sunday, June 12, 2016, at the Bonifacio Monument Circle.
The celebration to be led by Caloocan Mayor Oscar Malapitan carries the national theme “Kalayaan 2016: Pagkakaisa, Pag-aambagan, Pagsulong.”
Joining Mayor Malapitan in the ceremony are: Vice Mayor Maca Assistio, Congressman-elect Along Malapitan, Congressman Edgar Erice, Caloocan City Administrator Oliver Hernandez, officials of the 188 barangays in Caloocan, public school teachers, city hall employees, and representatives from the police and military force.
The City of Caloocan is set to strictly impose the city ordinance on curfew for minors aged 17 years old and below starting July 1.
In a General Assembly of the city's Peace and Order Council held recently, Mayor Oscar Malapitan has instructed the Philippine National Police to strictly implement the city ordinances against minors roaming the streets beyond 10pm, half-naked men in public, drinking liquors in public and loud videoke singing sessions.
