To help ensure that all public school facilities are clean, orderly and safe for the opening of schools in June, the City Government of Caloocan took part in this year’s Brigada Eskwela.
Armed with power tools, hammer, saw, welding machine, plyboards, paints, broom, mop, the 33 departments of Caloocan City Hall headed over to 79 public schools in the City and cleared the 2-month vacated rooms, painted the walls and did repairs to armchairs, desks and slightly damaged school equipment.
Re-elected Caloocan City Mayor Oscar Malapitan offered a Thanksgiving Mass early Wednesday following the overwhelming support shown by the people of Caloocan City in the recently concluded elections.
The mass was held at the Shrine of the Our Lady of Grace in 11th Avenue and was attended by community leaders, representatives of various sectors in Caloocan, and supporters of Mayor Malapitan.
